Visit To The Center
Our integrative approach to medicine utilizes natural, non-invasive therapies in conjunction with traditional approaches to allow the body to restore and recover in the most natural way possible. This process starts with a thorough review of the patient’s medical history and examination, as well as laboratory testing. The testing may include a nutritional profile, markers for chronic inflammation, allergy testing, hormone levels testing, environmental toxicity and genetic and age markers. Based on a physical exam and laboratory testing, Dr. Firshein will create a comprehensive program specifically for your needs.
We look forward to your visit to the Firshein Center. In preparation for your first visit, please click on the image on the left-hand side of the page and download our New Patient Pack. Please bring them with you to your first appointment.
- Please allow a minimum of 2 hours for your first appointment, which will include an in-depth initial consultation, a physical exam, and tests that may be necessary to evaluate your current condition (ex. Laboratory tests, allergy tests, pulmonary function test for those with respiratory problems, or an EKG for those with cardiovascular-related symptoms).
- In preparation for any blood tests, fasting overnight is preferred. However, if your appointment is later in the day, please fast for a minimum of 6 hours before your visit. Drinking water, tea or coffee (without milk) is acceptable. We suggest you bring a light snack to eat after your blood has been drawn. Children 12 years and younger should not fast.
- In preparation for any blood or allergy testing that may be done on your first visit, it is important to NOT use antihistamines such as Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra or Benadryl 24 hours prior to your visit. However, if you are currently on any other prescribed medication, it is important that you continue taking it.
- Bring your medical insurance information with you to your initial appointment. Please call us if you have any further questions prior to your visit. We look forward to meeting you and working together to achieve your health goals.
